about living and learnng
Working with people fascinates and fulfils me every day. Being able to experience the individual changes in my clients is always a great joy and an incentive to continue learning and to understand the complexity of the human system a little better.
My involvement in intensive tennis playing led me to Rolfing in 2000. Despite having a balanced training and a good level of fitness, I was plagued by lumbago and severe back pain. All conventional therapies only brought short-term relief. The orthopaedist told me that I would have to deal with it. At the age of 30, I did not want to accept that, so I started looking for an alternative.
After the first Rolfing session it was clear to me that this kind of treatment was different from anything else. It went deeper, changed, released and set something in motion in my body. The 10 Rolfing sessions permanently freed me from my chronic back pain. The new body feeling accompanied me in my everyday life during the years that followed. I was so impressed, that I decided a few years later to stop working in marketing and event management, and to start training at the European Rolfing Association (ERA).
In 2019 I became acquainted with Somatic Experiencing. Since then, this gentle and intensive work has been an important part of my life and work.
